What type of usage data does the new CPUC mandate require?

The CPUC requires solar and storage installers to use 12 months of one-hour or fifteen-minute interval data to estimate bill savings.

This data must be included in the updated Disclosure Document that customers sign and utilities receive as part of the interconnection process.

Which utilities are supported in California?

UtilityAPI currently provides data access coverage for PG&E, SCE, and SDGE.

Bear Valley Electric and Liberty Electric haven't deployed smart meters, so interval data isn't available.   

We may expand coverage to include PacPower in the future. If you are an installer working in PacPower's service territory let us know!
